E.tv’s long-running soap opera, Scandal!, has recently witnessed a notable surge in its audience numbers following an increase in its episode offerings starting in July. As reported by the South African Broadcasting Research Council, the show saw its viewership rise from 3.2 million in June to a commendable 3.6 million in July.
This increase is attributed to Scandal!’s strategic decision to broadcast new episodes daily at 19:30, making it the first South African soap opera to air every day in this manner. This consistent airing schedule has not only fostered greater viewer engagement but also set a precedent for other shows in the industry.

Leading the viewership ratings is the ever-dominant Uzalo, which attracted a staggering 5.6 million viewers, solidifying its top position.
